Website migration query (GSC)
Posted by on February 24, 2021 at 8:07 amHello, I have migrated my old site to a new site, but the search console is showing 404 for the URL that are not even indexed, and the amount of URL that is showing error 404 not found in thousands! I have moved my site & it is in the process but I am afraid that my 404 will be moved to my new site as well.

Run your website in Screaming Frog SEO Spider to check if you have any broken links on your website. Also, run your sitemap files in the screaming frog tool.
As per the image you shared, 404 pages are shown in the “Excluded” part. It is not shown in the Error.
If you have finished migration you need to check if the 301 redirections are working properly or not.
