so in order to drive more traffic to my website, and also to help some of our customers understand some concepts, i want to start putting up helpful articles on my website. I created the website myself using elementor. I technically have two "articles" up there. I set them up as their own pages that are nested in the blog page. is this a bad practice? i want to add more articles and maximize their seo potential

That setup technically works but it’s not great for SEO in the long run. When you use pages instead of posts, you miss out on all the stuff search engines expect from a blog like publish dates, categories, tags, and schema that helps Google understand your content better.

You’ll get better results if you use WordPress posts for your articles and build the layout with Elementor’s single post template. That way Google treats them as part of your blog instead of random standalone pages, which makes indexing and linking between posts way smoother.

You can keep your blog page the same, just have it pull your posts automatically instead of nesting pages under it. Much easier to grow that way once you start adding more content.

Nothing wrong with it if you manually apply all the what nots a post might automatically get, but why bother… if you want post in the menu you can add them there manually anyway.

So, what you’ll find long term is you will make it more difficult to manage for a general net loss. Navigation for users will become a nightmare..

Use WP for what it’s great at natively… managing a blog
