URL Parameter and Duplicate Page Issues
Posted by on September 30, 2025 at 12:51 pmI’m facing an issue with URL parameters on my website. Most of our URLs contain tracking parameters, which are creating duplicate pages. I want to have clean URLs, but the parameter variations are causing multiple versions of the same page to appear.
Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue and ensure that only the clean versions of our pages need to show

We call these ghost URLs – for some reason the world’s smartest search engine can’t understand parameters 😀
There’s not a lot you can do unless you can wire your CMS to forward these to a single URL or clean URL
Its ok to ignore “errors” in GSC – Google isn’t deducting points – it doesnt affect your SEO

Assuming they are all after a ? And you have proper canonical URLs on every page Google is paying no attention to these and they are having no impact.
