hear me out before you come for me in the comments lol

i spent like two years learning premiere pro and after effects for making social media videos and i still think those are amazing skills to have for cinematic stuff or client work but for everyday social content, reels, tiktoks, product clips? i genuinely think we've passed the point where you need traditional editing skills

here's what i've been doing instead. i write scripts using claude or chatgpt, generate the base video using tools like magic hour or kling depending on whether i need lip sync or talking head stuff, and then do a final pass in capcut for captions and transitions, thats literally it.

the output quality is honestly 80% as good as what i was making in premiere and it takes me 1/10th of the time and on social media nobody cares about that last 20%, they care about the hook and the message.

i know this is gonna be controversial and i want to be clear, if you're doing brand films or youtube essays or anything with actual narrative structure you still need real editing skills but for the content treadmill most of us are on right now, learning premiere feels like learning to drive stick when automatic exists

what do you guys think, am i crazy or is this where things are heading

I sell all engagement. Followers, likes, comments, views, live views. Prices are the lowest ever, I do small test also. I have $2 options to test first. Venmo and PayPal.

been doing almost this exact workflow for months. claude for scripts, ai video gen, then a quick edit pass. you’re right that it’s “good enough” for 90% of social content.

the thing nobody talks about though is that the bottleneck shifts. used to be editing skills. now it’s having good ideas and knowing what hooks work. the creative thinking part didn’t get automated, just the execution.

also worth noting this only works for talking head / explainer / content treadmill stuff. if you’re doing anything with real humans or real locations you still need to know how to shoot and edit. but yeah for the daily social grind? traditional editing is overkill.

Unpolished real videos are what’s working. No one wants heavily edited AI videos in my opinion.
