  • Tracking Conversions by Sending a Thank You Page to Client

    Hi everyone! I’m new to Facebook ads and would appreciate if you could help me out on this:

    Is it possible to track conversions on your Facebook campaign if you just send a thank you page link to your client instead of them converting on your website? The way we close clients in our business requires us to personally meet up with them first before closing the sale thus I thought of just sending them a link as a thank you page right after the sale.

    Follow up question: If they click on the link twice, will it count as a conversion twice?

    I wouldn’t rely on it. If you close in person or on the phone then I would 1. Track the lead source and possible utm information in their contact record and 2. Manually change them to a closed deal. Maybe you also count it as a conversion if they online after the call/email exchange.

    Yes unless you adjust the event in Google Tag Manager
