  • Tracking brand visibility across LLMs, here’s what I found

Quite funny how we are now not chasing SEO for SERP rather measuring how our brand ranks on LLMs. Thats true in terms of audiences. Specially if your niche is based on an audience who come from the AI results or how an AI suggests you. So in my case sometimes it gets SEO vs AI recommendations, however, thats not true for every niche.

So seeing the incoming traffic from chatgpt mostly, I did some research and tested few tools which are worth sharing for people like me getting traffic from AI so you can work on optimizing your business for AI

    1. SEMrush AI overview: I've been using this since 2019 but saw that they have added the LLM ranking feature recently.
    2. llmrankings io: Unlike SEMrush, I found this tool solely dedicated towards LLM ranking only and got the chance to test it without purchasing

Still early days for this kind of tracking. Anyone else found good tools for monitoring AI visibility?

There’s a great video on Edward Sturm’s YouTube channel about this. He did a 2nd podcast recently with David Quaid and it’s full of useful info about AI.

I’ve seen more than a few SEOs speak highly of Profound for LLM visibility tracking. Haven’t used it myself yet though.

Even if you don’t want to use the full service, Knowatoa will give you a quick free audit and then (as a separate tool, there’s a link in the footer of their site) they have a tool that will check if your site can be reached by the AI indexing bots, as they’re so often accidentally blocked.

The leaders in the space focusing just on AI visbility seem to be (in no particular order): Profound, Peec AI, AthenaHQ.

And then some large SEO/analytics tools have added it as a feature: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Amplitude.

Unsure if you actually need to use them though.

Profound is the only good one i have found.

SEMrush data is not queried nearly as much or with the independent nature profounds is, so it’s a good metric but shouldn’t be taken as accurate information.

Haven’t used llmsranking, but the above critique applies to a lot of LLM trackers
