TikTok: Hashtags

I hear the general rule is no more and no fewer than 5 but I have been using roughly 15-20 per video and done okay, I recently started experimenting with the 5 hashtag rule on some videos and don’t notice much of a difference. Can anyone give me an answer based on personal experience or statistics?

hashtags only work if people are searching for them

I tested both ways – 5 hashtags vs 15+ hashtags and I honestly didn’t notice a big difference in views. What matters more is whether your hashtags are targeted and trending, not the exact number.

I’ve not been able to use more than five since about two weeks ago.
