TikTok creator paid to use music
Posted by on December 31, 2020 at 5:18 pmQuick question for anyone that knows. If an artist is paying a creator money to use their music in a video as background noise does the creator have say anything about the song/artist? Is this considered advertising or not? I know when you use a product you are supposed to use a #ad if you are getting paid, but I haven’t seen anything like that for music, especially if nothing is said or promoted about said music.

No, there is no law that says you must give credit to the artist of the music used within the ad.
There is a chance you’ll get to pay less to use the song if you tell the artist that credit will be shown any time the song plays.
