Thinking of building a social media SaaS – looking for honest thoughts from people who deal with this daily
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working in the social media/ecom space for about 2 years, mostly doing random-but-useful data and automation stuff. Some of the things I’ve built:
- scraped follower lists (biggest one was ~200k from a single IG account)
- a tracking tool for an agency that monitors 40+ accounts and around 15k posts
- daily scraping of 300+ posts across clients
- multiple 10k+ IG/TikTok influencer lead lists for outreach
- DM automation tools
- and a bunch of other small tools to make social media work less painful
Now I’m thinking about turning all of this into an actual SaaS – basically one place where creators/agencies can track content, scrape data, automate stuff, find leads, etc. Just something that removes the chaos.
Before I start building, I’d really appreciate hearing from people in this space:
- What tools are you using right now?
- What sucks about them?
- What do you wish existed?
- Any must-have features you think every social tool should include?
Not trying to sell anything – just trying to understand the real problems before I go all-in.
Would love any input. Thanks!
