You think it’s not possible to rank on google again with new sites?

In the 2000’s when I made my first website as a kid, I’d write/create content and basically that was mine. Google would index it, I’d focus on SEO and happy days. If another website owner copied my content, we’d write blacklist pages and say what they stole lol. It was hugely frowned upon, obviously.

How is this any different? It’s 2026, sure stuff will evolve. But Google are outright stealing now. They take our content, and have AI reveal it in such a way most will never click beyond that stage. How can they provide a suitable service in say, 2030… If nobody is writing new content? Or is this the plan? Because obviously there will be content, just one set within a strict narrative… It’ll be official sources and the odd “one of us” types, I guess.

How is this sustainable for Google? Websites stop providing content, Google ads die, AI costs continue to rise, profits plummet and everything goes to shit.

They need to modernise monetisation. For every piece of content AI takes from our website based on the search within googles homepage, we should be supplied revenue.

This just makes real sites more valuable. I want to vomit when I ask it for travel advice.
