The “story ring” you add to your profile picture makes people think you have a new story (even if you don’t), and the cool part is the “double ring” effect it gives to your profile picture when you actually upload a story, cool huh?

Instagram gives you the chance to create a username for your account, this is the unique identity that serves as a link to your profile, and all accounts on Instagram have a username
BUT they also give you the chance to add a “name”, this is the name that displays under your profile picture and before your bio.
Most people repeat their username or input their names in the “name” section but this isn’t quite effective for gaining followers as adding keywords to your name will help you appear in search results and get you free followers.

Thanks for sharing, I have some feedback. I can see how the second point could be somewhat helpful to someone searching for your profile, but basically useless if they’ve never heard of you to begin with – basically relying on people to search and hope your name ranks high enough in search.
The first point isn’t something I’d suggest to anyone, it’s deceptive, and deception damages that relationships trust from the start. Better off just posting stories regularly throughout the day…

For the second one I’ve seen one that really helped to grow their account. Add a text as if you were followed by a celebrity in your niche. For example if you are in the soccer niche put the text “followed by cristiano” in your name.
