Strategy help for new website
Posted by ysf_khn on January 23, 2026 at 10:47 pmI'm gonna be launching a perfumes' website very soon. It has around 100,000 perfumes (yup this took a lot of time). Goal is to earn through affiliate commission and ads. How to grow it purely through seo? What should be my strategy? Also, how long will it take for all the pages to get indexed?

GuestJanuary 23, 2026 at 11:30 pmLaunching a new website is an exciting venture, and having a solid strategy is key to gaining traction and building a loyal audience. Start by clearly defining your target audience and the unique value your site offers. This will help you tailor your content and marketing efforts to meet their specific needs and interests. Consistency in publishing high-quality content is crucial, as it establishes your site as a reliable source and encourages repeat visits.
Next, focus on content marketing and SEO to increase your site’s visibility. Utilize keyword research to understand what your potential readers are searching for and incorporate those terms naturally into your articles. Additionally, leverage social media platforms and online communities related to your niche to share your content and engage with your audience. Building relationships with other publishers and influencers can also amplify your reach.
Finally, analyze your website’s performance regularly using tools like Google Analytics to understand user behavior and identify areas for improvement. Pay attention to metrics such as page views, bounce rates, and average session duration to gauge how well your content resonates with visitors. Adjust your strategy based on these insights to continually enhance user experience and grow your site.
At 2k or Nothing, we specialize in hosting long-form content that attracts readers who are eager for in-depth, meaningful articles. By publishing on our platform, you can connect with an audience that values quality and substance, helping your new website gain the attention it deserves.

GuestJanuary 23, 2026 at 11:54 pmI’d log into semrush ans ahref every day. Add GSC and I think that would be a good dashboard. Then swap backlinks with reputable brands from said dashboard. I think seo is more simple today and in past

GuestJanuary 24, 2026 at 12:03 amIt’s really hard to say without seeing the site, but content is your answer. Write about everything to do with perfumes. Get links from manufacturers, associations, suppliers. Submit your site map to Search Console. Repeat.

GuestJanuary 24, 2026 at 12:19 ampure seo can work here, but only if you avoid turning it into 100k near-duplicate pages. google will not reward scale by itself. the big differentiator is intent. if most pages are just perfume name plus specs, you’ll struggle to rank or even get indexed fully. you need strong templated content that actually answers why someone is searching that perfume. comparisons, longevity, seasonality, alternatives, and notes explained in plain language tend to do better than generic descriptions. indexing-wise, expect months, not weeks. a site that large will almost certainly be crawl-budget limited at first, especially on a fresh domain. internal linking, clean taxonomy, and a solid sitemap strategy matter a lot. i’d also focus early on building topical authority with fewer high-quality category and guide pages instead of hoping 100k product pages carry you. once google trusts the site, the long tail starts to move much faster.

GuestJanuary 24, 2026 at 12:54 amIf it’s B2C you’re gonna have a hard time, what you should do is build good content & invest in high quality backlinks. And then target long tail & informational keywords, otherwise Amazon & Temu are gonna crush you
