Spent my whole morning making one report and I want to quit
Posted by on March 29, 2026 at 4:19 amClient asked for a quick overview of last month's performance and i spent 3.5 hours on it.
Had to manually pull numbers from meta business suite, twitter analytics, tiktok, linkedin paste everything into google sheets, make it look decent, add charts, write summaries. And this is for one client. I have 4 total.
There has to be a better way to do social media management reporting that doesnt eat my entire day right or do you all just accept that reports take forever.
What do you actually use for this stuff?

There are third party tools that help, WhataGraph is one I used before. But ultimately they don’t have access to Meta’s full API, so while it might cut down the time, reporting just takes some time.

Yeah this sucks but it’s fixable. What helped me was just grabbing everything in one go. I’ll sit like 20 mins and pull all the numbers first, screenshots or exports whatever, instead of bouncing between tabs the whole time.
Also yeah CSV exports are a lifesaver tbh. Manually typing stuff is actual pain, did that way longer than I should’ve.
Ngl most clients don’t even care about half the details. I switched to super basic reports and nobody said anything so yeah was kinda overdoing it.
There’s tools like Vista Social or Hootsuite and stuff but honestly just fixing your process already saves a ton of time.

Use claude code to scrape those things for you. Just give it some prompt.
