Someone is threatening to bot my Instagram account, he wants to ruin my reach. What should I do?

What do you mean by bot you? Buy followers for your account?

One of my competitors did that to my account to sabotage us. Aside from destroying our engagement, it was also just incredibly embarrassing. Would love to know if there’s a way to prevent that in the future, but I’m guessing there isn’t.

Buying followers doesn’t affect your reach, it will however mess with your follow to like ratio. There is not much you can do about this.

How does a person get in a situation where another person is willing to try to mess up their Instagram account? Seems so petty.
