Social Media Management Pricing?
Posted by on June 22, 2020 at 8:23 pmFellow SM freelancers, I’m curious to know how much you charge per month to clients. I have a feeling I may be undercharging currently.
For a little backstory, I started off as an employee for a company, but they shut down and kept me on as an independent contractor for their other company I was managing.
**Right now, I am doing the following for $1,500/mo:**
* Managing their FB and IG accounts (Between 3-5 posts/week + 2-4 IG stories/week + engaging with others on platforms)
* Have a bi-weekly call with them to discuss all SM/marketing-related things
* Have another weekly call with them and the design team (I’m a little more passive on this call)
* Reach out to other companies to work out and set up collaborations
* Take photographs/edit them for their SM pages
* Create and send out newsletters for them (was doing this weekly, but am now doing it about 1x/mo depending on COVID updates)Before COVID happened, I was also on-site 4 hrs/week (which I would like to scrap moving forward) and hosting monthly giveaways on FB. I have a feeling they may ask me to come back on-site soon, so I wanted to create a new proposal. Am I charging too little for my services?

You’re way undercharging. We pay $2,100/mo for our sm management and I think it’s still pretty cheap.

Hi….this is off topic but I’m just starting out in SMM and your post was helpful. It will help me gauge how much I should charge to run SM for a successful high-end restaurant chain in my area. I’m in Miami; the market is very competitive. What is your market like? And how did you train for your position?

I do a bit of freelance work, and to be honest with you, this sounds pretty fair to me — $1,500-$2,000
Are their social channels seeing significant follower growth?

Was just thinking of doing this, I was thinking of charging $500/month. Boy was I off.
