Forums › Forums › Social Media › So my daughter has 97.9K followers on Tik Tok. She’s 13 and her style and music probably have the most to do with her success. I have searched online a lot, but since she is 13, she needs to be 18 to be a creator. Can I be the adult on her account so she can make a few $$$ and how do I do this? TIA

GuestMarch 29, 2021 at 4:25 pmShe checks all the boxes except for age.
Is there a company that can help us or do we just keep trying to work though TikTok?
Or do we wait until she is 18?

GuestMarch 29, 2021 at 5:19 pmMoney stuff aside. I would really watch out about her. I’m an artist and I’ve seen many young shooting stars. While it’s awesome for a few years it can quickly mean a lot of pressure…
It is my honest opinion that youth and success don’t mix well. -

GuestMarch 29, 2021 at 6:55 pmTiktok have been incredibly outspoken about safety and age restrictions on the platform for users and creators, they won’t bend those rules I don’t think. Have you thought about setting up a patreon or something like that? She could offer exclusive music and content to subs, she could use her tiktok to direct ppl to patreon every few vids and to tease content / make ppl want to see more

GuestMarch 29, 2021 at 9:39 pmTiktok isn’t the be all and end all of monetisation – if she has 100k engaged followers, and you can find a suitable niche (something her audience would be interested in buying, even if it’s 0.1% of them that she can get behind promoting) you can just speak directly to people who are looking for influencer audiences and basically agree to get paid up front for putting adverts, messages and links to their products/services in her content

GuestMarch 30, 2021 at 5:07 amIf her audience is largely teens in north america she can promote products of interest to teens. I know of one company that might send her a free sample and pay her a buck for every purchase by her fans. This is how small influencers can get started. If her audience actually buys they will let her try the next product. You gotta realize her audience might be largely polite boys in Turkey and elsewhere that have no ability to purchase anything.
