    Smart Shopping Segmentation

Posted by seohelper on July 1, 2021 at 3:32 pm

Hard to find clear guidelines on this. Google officially recommends to use one campaign with all products and I believe from a machine learning perspective it makes the most sense probably, however, like that you can’t really optimize the creative assets properly for the product type and especially for a general store the creatives don’t really apply to the product you’re advertising.

Very hard to say if those creatives have any substantial impact on performance though. Does anyone have any insight and experience with this?

Either break out your SKUs by best selling, top brands, or product category. You can put everything in one campaign but unless you have very few SKUS (under 25 SKUs). It could make sense to have 2 or 3 shopping campaigns with a mix of standard and smart shopping.
