  • Site title in the post SEO title or no?

Everything I read online suggests you should put the site title at the end of the post title, so much so that SEO plugins encourage you not to disable that feature.

Yet, when looking at other sites, none of them seem to do that.

Should I really keep that on? It seems to make sense (sorta) for search results, but for google discover/google news, it seems it would just add clutter.

Yeah, you’re right.. adding the site title isn’t really needed anymore. It used to help with branding, but now Google often rewrites titles anyway. Keep it clean and focused on the post topic, unless your brand name actually adds trust or clicks. Less clutter = better CTR, especially on Discover.

Are you talking about branding at the end of the site title?

We are ranking pretty well and do none of that.

SEO Plugins sell you all sort of things to keep you busy and be relevant. Don’t believe everything they say.

Really depends on the site and business, it’s a branding element but keeping the repetitive part of the title short or even skipping it, focussing on the actual unique part, what the page is really about, is certainly helpful.
