    Site Speed and Paid Ads

Posted by seohelper on July 1, 2021 at 10:46 pm

    Hello all,

I’ve been running PPC ads through an agency for over a year and performance has been pretty decent. I recently ran a site speed test and it showed a 20 score on mobile and 70 score on desktop.

From what I read online, increasing the score can help PPC performance. From my keywords report, it already seems that the landing page experience for the most part on my website is either average or above average already.

My question is, has anyone here noticed an increased performance in their ads after a site speed optimization? Whether that may be lower CPC or higher ad ranks, I am curious to know what other people have experience.

You’re not going to see significantly different results in the *ads*, but you are going to have much better results as far as *conversions*.

You may see a better QS or something, but I don’t think it will be a material difference as much as the fact that page speed is a major factor in user experience. There was a big test a few years ago by Walmart, and I believe they found that for every 1 second faster their pages loaded, they would see something like a 3% improvement in conversions (don’t quote me on that, need to find the source).
