Should you go for Purchase or View Content if you have no data?

Posted by seohelper on July 1, 2020 at 12:49 am

I ran a video and made LLA of video viewed 95%, targeting US. I’m paying $60/1k impressions for ATC. No sales after a few hundred spent. I do have add to carts, but no purchases. Should I go for VC or Purchase?

Honestly not new to FB ads but I feel very lost with this campaign. It’s e-commerce

If you have the pixel correctly installed, and have it set up for conversions and standard events, the best thing to do for now is drive landing page views. If your setting your objective for video views, you’ll get just that, and hardly any link clicks. Or you could create an audience to advertise to with the people who have watched at least 50% of your video. You’ll need to have a more layered approach for now. Message me if you have questions.

    $60 for 1K impressions?

    $60 CPM? That’s crazy high.

$60 CPM is wild. How narrow is your audience? Sounds like it’s less than 50k in total potential reach– likely layered additional interests on top of your LLAs? Did you perhaps make a custom audience and target that instead of the LLA by accident?

How many ATC are you getting per week? I always suggest going as close to the purchase event as you can while still getting enough event fires to complete learnings. If you can do ATC instead of VC, do so.

While you’re at it, look at your site. What’s the organic purchase rate? If that’s also zero, it’s not a traffic issue, but your site that needs some revision. Check bounce rate and session durations too. Those will be telling.

Go for Add 2 cart and then remarket to them
