Should we optimize for keywords that have AI suggestions?
Posted by on December 1, 2025 at 10:09 pmBeginner here! I'm looking at a group of keywords; the competition is not that high, however, there's an AI overview of the situation that, to some degree, answers the not-so-direct question.
Have you seen if keywords that have an AI overview tend to perform worse compared to those that aren't affected by an AI overview? Is there any research on this that we can read?

No LLM’s do not have their own search engines. So optimize for search engines instead.

if someone doesn’t have to click they won’t and gthe number of clicks for that keyword will be lower. sort of common sense, but you can find a lot of research on this if you just Google it

Yes, but include “people also ask questions” in the body as H2s.
