Should we do a walk through of ranking from scratch in LLMs?
Posted by on April 3, 2026 at 11:56 amObviously its really difficult to predict what LLMs will say – its also really difficult to counter what LLMs cache. Even though caching is slow.
Given how much confusion there is in the marketplace – what makes me concerned is that LLM ranking is 100% SEO.
In fact – most of the best tools needed are completely free.
One of the most puzzling things about the GEO disinformation campaign?
They're not telling you to use the Bing AI Performance report!!!! Why is that?
Its free. Its the ONLY report in the world that gives you a representation of citation count by topic that you're ranking for.
Also – they dont want you to know you're being cited 30k times despite only getting 2 clicks

Reason #3 that GEO “Experts” don’t want you to use Bing’s AI Performance tab?
The top citations on my tiny experimental site all have “2025” for the last 90 days.
Today is April 3rd. We are >90 days into 2026!

agree. it’s something new that people do not understand. this traditionally brings out the snake oil salesman. history just repeating itself
funny, I mentioned Bing AI Performance the other day to someone who thought they were an “GEO Expert” and they went silent after acting like they knew everything.
