    Shopify Store Ads/Funnel Setup

    Hi guys,

After a good year of selling on our online store and mainly on marketplaces we want to focus on digital marketing/paid advertising. As I know some of the SEO and SEA basics, I started with a fully automated Google Shopping Smart Campaign, which wasn’t that customizable as I first expected. But on the second day we got 60 clicks, 6% conversion and 500 revenue out of 10 euro spend on ads.

On the side I ran a Google Shopping ad but the daily budget was eaten up by a lot of keywords not related to the products I sell..

But I do understand that running a Shopping Smart Campaign probably isn’t the profitable way of spending on ads and maybe we need to set up some kind of (remarketing) funnel?

How should I start with paid advertising with a budget of 500-600 a month? Is there maybe someone on Discord willing to help and advice some things? 🙂

Google Ads/Analytics and Merchant Center are all linked. But one of the problems as well is that on those 3 places, the revenue is all different. Shopify says 90, Analytics says 37 and Google ads says 500.

Sup dude. For the shopping ads you’ll want to look at the search terms that you’re paying for. Look at the 30 day data. Select the ones that you don’t like and make them negative keywords, which means your ads won’t show up for those terms anymore. We also put our brand name as a negative keyword which forced google to spend our budget on people who don’t know about us but are high intent shoppers. That ad now spends 2k per day with great ROI. The longer it runs, the better it gets. Then I also recommend fb ads. They’re the best in my opinion. We now spend 30k per day which is insane looking back. We started with like a 300 budget 3 years ago

Yeah we’re on shopify. I’m not sure how to answer your 2nd question to be honest. Yeah man Reddit is a good network. My partner and I were thinking about doing some coaching to help people out but we’ll see if that happens
