I'm starting to get the feeling that SEO tools may become less important in the coming year. AI has changed everything, and Google is crushing all sorts of sites. Good sites. I'm seriously thinking about not renewing my annual subscription for an SEO tool that may become useless real soon. And I may just start writing my blog articles with less keyword focus moving forward. Is anyone else thinking of cancelling their annual SEO tool subscriptions-and saving $500-$1000 a year?

SEO tools are here to stay. SEO has always been volatile. Especially analysis SEO tools are still key.

If I cancelled all my SEO tools, I would be saving USD 60K/year corporate job, tho)

And I am not doing that. Even the opposite.

Several tools are using AI to help you to analyze patterns and trends that you may miss if you just “look at the data”.

My advice is, if you are not feeling that you are getting your money back with whatever tool you use, cancel it. Perhaps isn’t the rigth tool for you. What I don’t see is cancelling every SEO tool because Chat gpt/Gemini/AI are going to “change the digital landscape”.

I use SEO tools to gather data, not to do my job
