  • SEO Quick Wins and Site Report.

    Hi all,
My query is divided into three parts, if you can help with any or all of them, I’d be really grateful 🙂

    Quick background
I’ve been meaning to get into SEO Analysis so this all relates to that, my audience is small businesses, who likely haven’t heard of SEO. But ofc everyone needs organic traffic so an informative deck is also in works.

    Here goes,

1 – Can any of you, who practice SEO for clients, provide me with a sample report of what you send to your client please? And how often do you send these reports? I am aiming for one extensive monthly audit and one minor audit every two weeks.

2 – If anyone here uses Raventools, could they please provide me a sample report from that? I’ve heard their reports are really nice and well formatted.
    (Any other suggestions also welcome)

3 – If I have to provide some free quick wins, what should I aim for, such that I don’t give up too much information and they still see the value of it?

    Thank you.

    **Creating Reports**

    A) How long do you plan to spend creating these reports?

    B) How much do you plan to spend on software to make these reports?

A – is potentially free, but your time isn’t!

B – is going to cut into your profits. If you consider some SEO tools will cost you $99 for 5 clients. That’s $20 a client assuming you have 5 clients.

If you’re then spending more of your profits on outsourcing any of the work, that $20 + all the rest quickly adds up.

    **Free Reports**

What do you want to include in your reports?

    – Traffic and conversions from analytics?
    – Maybe (Google) search visibility from search console?

Google Analytics reports are probably all you need. Especially if you’re working with small businesses on a shoe string budget.

    Not your cup of tea?

Import the data into Google Data Studio and create your own reports.

    **Free-ish Reports including Rankings**

If you want to include rankings from a rank tracker, you’ll need something that can export the data to data studio.

Or you could either copy the ranking data into a Google sheet manually and import it into Data Studio. Or do the same, but also manually do the rank checks if you’re on a budget.

    **Quick wins**

Do your own research. If you’re going to take money from a small business that is relying on results.

Make sure you know what you’re doing and not in it to make a quick buck out of somebody who needs to make sure every penny they spend counts!!
