I’m about to launch my website offering my services as a Content Creator/Social Media Manager. I’m using Canva for the website templates because I have never gotten WordPress to do exactly what I wanted but my question is- are photos of me necessary on the site to attract clients/customers?

You’re making yourself into a brand. You should have a brand story that’s established and well, all about you 🙂 Pictures of yourself help you appear as a human being to your potential clients. While every photo doesn’t have to be of you, you should definitely include at least a few good photos of yourself. Your template should be inviting and open, clearly stating what you bring to table with your content creator/SMM skills.

Where are you hosting your site? WordPress? There are some really easy-to-use templates available that don’t cost an arm and a leg, which is rough in the beginning.

Photos of you are nice but not necessary. If you’re doing branding type – Neil Patel/Gary Vee type of service then yes. What I mean by that is if you’re selling your expertise as a content creator based on your personal experience and expertise then picture/videos of you would be helpful. However, if you’re selling the brand as a whole, like a face-less company – then stock photos and graphics are fine, if that makes sense.

You may think about adding images that give the impression that your organisation is much larger and not handled just by one person. Depending on you’re sector of course.
