Rebrand account or start new?
Posted by on August 26, 2025 at 11:06 amI have an Instagram account I've had for years. It was personal, then I used it for my live streaming to post a mix of video clips and random photos. Then I moved it back to personal and it currently has no posts and is private.
I'm planning to start selling various things for tabletop games and I'm trying to decide if I should just rename this account and keep using it or make a new one from scratch?
I don't really want to keep up with two accounts since I know I'll have to interact with people to grow an audience.
I already have a mix of personal friends and people I've met through tabletop following my existing account, but it's only 916 followers so it's not a huge number of people.
I don't have many plans to post a lot of personal things on social media anymore so I won't be losing out on anything there. I just want to set myself up for the best chance at success as I can.
