Reading comments and stories in a video

If i create a social media video that includes people’s stories i find on reddit, comment sections, ect, what is the best legal practice for including their commentary? Do i have to get permission to read their stories? Or is it under the fair use copyright law? Has anyone had any issues with this?

Ask for permission to the author. 2nd, always credit the right source even if you don’t get direct response
