Question on front page with activity feed and what to do with robots for list views
I’m a developer working on a client site and have two SEO issues I see but don’t know what to do about. The site has fairly high page rank so it has me worried, and also a large and active registered user base (40k+ users).
The front page (root of domain) of the site is changing from a normal format featuring new blog articles and the like to featuring an activity feed based on user posts. Before, the content on the front page was fixed. Now, the content will be pulled by Javascript dynamically after the page load.
Any advice from an SEO perspective on handling this?
The second issue is what should I do about my robots file for pages that display list views and are paginated? For example, I have a URL that shows a list of all blog articles. It has pagination links at the bottom and you can click through to the different paginated pages (page 2, page 3, etc.).
Thanks for any help!
