  • [Question] I need help breaking into video content / monetization on Facebook.

    Hey,

I have a Facebook page, group and Instagram page in a specific niche under the mental health subsection.

The page has approx 200,000 followers with each post having an average of 100,000 views with thousands of shares and reactions.

The group has approx 30,000 followers with 22,000 active users in the last 28 days and 55,000 comments/reactions/posts in 28 days.

The instagram has 1500 followers but I hardly use it, just linked from the page.

The group and Instagram are 2019, the page is 2015.

I’ve largely done nothing with the page/group, aside from manage out spam on the group and post semi regular content (mainly images) on the page.

With the introduction of “stars” and subscription to pages I’m thinking I can monetize moving forward doing videos, I honestly don’t know where to start though.

    Does anyone have some advice?

    Thank you!

Interviewing people and sharing their very different experiences on how they deal with the situation. This opens doors for recommendations, that may or may not lead to commissions.

In an interview, you could simply ask them directly. Interview people who are still in grief and the ones whom overcome it. Both may provide you information and ideas on what to monetize. Don’t think for yourself. Your audiences already know what they want.

It may be recommending a Book, Therapies / Courses (Online, Offline). Yoga, Activities, Meditation, Reading, Healthy/Active life-style… All this may help them, as it’s a distraction and lots of dopamine, especially activities.

Often, Grief & Loss comes with a feeling of loneliness and helplessness. Provide them with advice, give them tools to overtone the loneliness, keep them busy.

Try being educational, but caring. Nothing more than being rational will help in such a situation.

You cannot go full nuts. It’s a very sensitive topic and anything out of line will get you shut down. People are in a very emotional state… Easy to anger, but easy to manipulate too. This goes hand in hand. Be careful.

    Addition:

Think bigger & get out of your comfort zone.

    Healthy Lifestyle / Activities… What are Sub-Niches?

    – Cooking (Lots to recommend there)

    – Gyms, Fitness Equipment, Courses, Couches

    – Activities (Endless options there)

Education (Also endless). Then there are possibilities of making collages, Portraits of their loved ones nice and fancy.

    Etc. etc. etc

I would start with your niche, what are you currently doing?
Study your favorite creators on YT and Facebook and you’ll find out how to do videos with your own twist.
It’s worked with me and I’ve managed over 10 channels in the last 3-4 years.

You can begin by exploring the niche you think you can excel at, and look out if it can bring in a large audience. Mental health is actually a great topic to begin with, since a lot of people nowadays are very concerned and vocal about it.

You can also draw some inspirations from some of the best content creators in the niche you are exploring but learn to formulate your own style out of it, one that can channel your own personality and one that will make you look likable and trustworthy to people. We’re very sure you can think of one from here.

And finally, generate some suggestions from the people, particularly from those who has close affinities with the niche you’re trying to make a content with. They know what they want to see, and if your content can provide that very nicely, you have already won them engagement-wise, and might even opt to click the ‘Stars’ for you.

I just randomly stumbled upon this post, but I am all about the mental health, having fought a long struggle against it for 2 decades. What you’re doing is of great interest to me.
