  • Quality vs Quantity. What works for growth on tiktok?

I work full time and wanted to grow my tikttok account as well. I see everyone advising to make good content and post daily, some even say to post multiple times a day. They are right, I have seen accounts follow this and grow. They really work hard and it shows but with my work schedule I was not able to put in that much effort.

So I started to look around for ideas to grow. Even if I post few times a week, my content should reach the right people (those who want to see it) . My focus was the quality of content and right targeting. I used a tool to set up my target locations, hashtags, similar accounts etc once and posted my content according to my pace. It showed my content to the relevant people and my account started growing. It's been around 10 days and my followers went from 1063 to 1724, likes went up too.

It feels great to post without the pressure of posting daily or constantly looking for ideas to turn into content. Anyone else here who prefered quality over quantity? How did it go for you?

Quality over quantity always. It’s for everything.

I havve never tried tools for audience targeting, just relied on hashtags. I need to experiment, my growth has been flat for months. Which tools you used?

From what I have seen tiktok’s algorithm cares more about watch time than frequency. If targeting helped get your content in front of the right people that probably boosted your completion rate which gives more reach.

This is really encouraging to read!
I’ve been struggling with the same thing, feeling like I need to post multiple times a day just to stay visible. Lately I’ve been focusing more on making each post intentional with a clear hook and message, even if I post less often, and it feels way less stressful.
I’m also learning how to plan my content better thanks to a guide I’m following, and it’s helping me stay consistent without burning out. Totally agree that quality can work if you stick to it.

quality > quantity every time. posting 5x a day won’t help if ppl scroll in the first 2 sec. tiktok doesn’t reward volume, it rewards watchtime + replays. so fewer posts that actually hook/retain will always beat daily filler.

that said, consistency still matters, if you only post once a month, the algo forgets you. sweet spot for busy ppl is 2–3 strong vids a week, as long as they’re built around solid hooks + emotions.

I’ve also found tools that analyze vids (e.g. creafico, etc.) useful for figuring out what to tweak before posting. makes it easier to focus on quality without wasting time guessing.

    hope this helps 🙂
