Q: Featured image for Google Discover?

My site has recently been showing up to people on Google Discover. However, the featured image shown on Google Discover is not the one I’d like to see. It’s showing an image from the articles rather than the featured images that I’ve been creating.
Is there a way to tell Google Discover what image to use in their feed?

Here is all the guidance Goole gives on prepping Discover images:
Including compelling, high-quality images in your content, especially large images that are more likely to generate visits from Discover. Large images need to be at least 1200 px wide and enabled by the max-image-preview:large setting, or by using AMP. Avoid using a site logo as your image.
