Pmax And search?
Hey everyone, have been running ads mostly on Meta for the past 8 years, google experience is just to the extent of my client needs (no fancy setups), with that being said, the clients i do help with google are happy since i have been running 1-2 campaigns, conversions were good, nothing fancy, no big setups.
I have a client now that we had Pmax on for 4-5 months now, have been doing decently, over 30 conversions monthly (31-33 Max)
Tanked about 4 weeks ago, since then i doubled down heavily on adding more asset groups, tried expanding audience targeting, cut out any 10% zipcodes etc, since then, CPL remained quite high since then regardless. The ocassional ups and downs but not going under $80 CPL (we mostly had $35-$60 CPL which was decent for him).
Client wanted to have a search campaign back on and use the budget for both of these, the search campaign now is performing worse than the Pmax (cannibalising traffic?).
Anyway, we are in the auto space, car services that DO go down in traffic around this period.
Client is NOT into giving offers, while his competition might be giving offers.
I feel like tweaking the campaign (keywords, neg, location, more ads) might not turn this around but maybe just completely changing the campaign/campaigns?
We are doing maximise conversions, have not tried maximise clicks. Afraid i'll just bring in bad quality leads, should i try it tho?
Can't compete without offers, lower traffic volume. Suggestions?
Thank you!!!
