Please help TikTok keeps pushing my videos to Africa
Posted by on October 22, 2025 at 4:16 pmHello, so I’m based in North America and all my settings are set up for my area, I have never travelled to talked about Africa or any of the countries in my videos, but 2 of videos started to go kindoff viral and it sent all my videos to Africa and now it’s just pushing them there to the point where US isn’t even in my top areas of viewers and Canada is like 2% only, I have uploaded videos since specifically mentioning US and Canada as well as using hashtags to try and push it here, yet it’s still pushing it to Ghana and other African countries. I don’t know what to do, should I make my account private ? And kill the algorithm for now and start again in couple of days ? What do I do anyone please please help me out

have you considered doing an ad only in usa? yes can do this in the tiktok ad dashboard… but i cant tell you how much money you should spend but it differs from video to video

Sounds like TikTok’s algorithm has a mind of its own. Maybe try switching up your content for a bit or even starting a new account to reset the algorithm. I wouldn’t go private just yet, you might miss out on potential growth from those African viewers!
