Hi all, wanted to know what's the playbook – set of tactics – to employ to crack a highly competitive field like HR SaaS.

Have a new website in this domain – 6 months old.

    Only 50 referring domains.

Approx. 300 blog posts, 3 product features pages, 10 industry specific landing pages and 10 location pages.

Tech SEO seems fine – schemas, meta tags etc. – and Google pagespeed scores shows 95 for both mobile and desktop.

Blogs are internally linked amongst each other and to overarching pillar pages which are listed in the sitewide footer.

Have focused on low-med competition keywords (primarily Mofu and Bofu).

Clicks are still to the tune of 50-80/mo

    What more can I do?

Links, links, links. Throw some more links for good measure.
    Stop writing blogs.

I work on a site which is kind of in a similar niche. Here is what worked for me so far. These are general tips since I have less info to work with.

Topical authority – with pillar pages linking to clusters on descriptive anchors and clusters linking to pillar pages on keywords variations. (Note that the clusters should get traffic too to be able to pass authority to pillar pages via internal links)

    – If you are targeting internationally, you should have the same english content in different languages.

    – You definitely should have links coming into homepage or other important landing pages from your power pages like pricing and similar as these pages get links overtime naturally and you might be missing out some authority.

    – Build authority for both LLMs and google. The above tips are mainly to make your site look more relevant but authority is the way, build as many links as you can (not print your own kinda links like profile links, blog comments etc) real links from partnerships, link exchanges etc.

    I hope these help.

    >highly competitive field

    then:

    >Only 50 referring domains.

    There’s your answer.

Unless those 50 domains are hyper-niche, hyper-focused, and have a lot of authority, you basically didn’t even scratch the surface, because your competitors will have tens or hundreds of thousands, ranging from horrible to excellent quality.
