Developing a personal brand basically means jumping from the “I scroll and read other posts” bubble to the “I create content that others read” bubble. This also means jumping from your comfort zone to the wild west. Being vulnerable and also letting yourself grow. In my experience, if you embrace it, you will really benefit from that leap. And it is worth the fright.
Bottom line is, having a personal brand will help you stand out when you apply for jobs or other career opportunities, can put you ahead of others you are possibly competing with.
Either way, you need to realize that building your personal brand requires consistency, focus and patience. It will take time. A bit like going to the gym. You need to be consistent and it will take time to see the results you are aiming for.
I started posting consistently on Linkedin in Jan 2024 and today have 30K followers and it has been an amazing boost for my personal and professional growth. Happy to give tips or answer questions.
