Honestly, just keep adding people, like 50 people a day. I went from like 250 to 5,500 from 2018 by just adding people in my field.

Write good articles in your niche and be persistent with it. Don’t just post retread crap. New original relevant articles. Send an invite to everyone you meet. It’s way more difficult now then a few years ago but doable. Good luck

By posting lame and vague passive-rants about how recruiters should feedback to their rejected candidates, or how employers should trust employees to work from home even if their work revolves around being on site

Serious answer.. Stick to your niche and post relevent/useful content your followers in particular would be INTERESTED in, and may interact with or share to their network

LinkedIn is one the networks that flows under the radar. Look at the comments in this thread. If you know how to actually network in person, then LinkedIn just makes it way easier.

Just be a decent person that helps their network and writes content that is helpful to a demographic. LinkedIn changed my business and changed my life. The rest of the comments shit on LinkedIn but as long as you unfollow whack content creators, you can find some really good niche content. Even at 2-4k connections, you can have a killer network.

I started a business with 4 partners who I met on LinkedIn and we are about to hit 20K this month in the 5th month. It required minimal investment (but a shit ton of work). Thankfully it paid off. The majority of our clients come from LinkedIn.

I know so many people who make a killing off of LinkedIn. Found my podcast editor off LinkedIn and 2 absolute killer VAs. I got meetings with people I shouldn’t have purely because of LinkedIn. DM me if anything. Focus on quality not quantity. You can grow quick but have some low quality followers who aren’t helpful to your goals.

Engage on your top public figures/influential people in your Niche Market posts. Genuine comments including offering supportive comments. People who are curious enough about what you know you more, will request to add you as a contact. Create educational content and articles. Cross promote posts to other Social Media sites.

Posting daily, but what’s more important is to engage with other people’s content daily. I’ll post 1 thing a day and then comment on 10 people’s posts.

What’s your goal? The strategy you follow is guided by your goal.

Oh, and BTW, LinkedIn is a waste of time. LinkedIn doesn’t even take LinkedIn seriously.

Not really an answer to your question, but followings for businesses on social media are seriously overrated. We have nearly 12,000 “followers” on LinkedIn and post every day, and the only engagement we get is from employees. Even then it’s rarely out of the single digits. Similarly, we have more than 4,000 “subscribers” on YouTube and post videos regularly, but we’re lucky to break 100 views on average unless we promote the video through ads. The heyday of organic social media distribution for the average business has simply dried up. You either have to spend a ton of money on ads to get your content seen, or a ton of money on content that will move better organically. Either way you have to spend. There are outliers, sure, but it’s generally not your average business that can take the various risks necessary to attempt going viral, etc.
