Organic traffic through giveaway – is it possible?
Posted by on June 11, 2021 at 12:01 amLooking for advice. I need to boost my Kickstarter campaign and I am looking for a way to attract organic leads. As an option, I am considering the giveaway. For example, you need to make a pledge for $ 1 or more and share a post on social networks / tag friends, etc. At the end the randomizer will choose the winner and he/she will receive the device for free.
At one side, there is a chance to get wide organic traffic.
On the other side, there is concern that this will reduce engagement, since people will pledge only $1 instead of a full purchase.
So – have you worked with the Giveaways and what is your experience / advice?

You have to offer a free way for people to enter or it’s an illegal sweepstakes. Doesn’t mean you can’t offer more entries though if they do take actions like buying or sharing. Good luck!

The worst thing about giveaway is, you will gain bunch of untargeted followers who will just follow you to win the giveaway and at the end of the day, they will bring no value to your page.
