  • Organic traffic from Facebook Reels is gradually decreasing.

I currently work for an industrial equipment company, responsible for all social media platforms. I'm facing some challenges.

My main content focuses on the factory and its products. Recently, organic traffic from Facebook has decreased, leading to fewer conversions. I gained 23,000 followers rapidly in the first five months, but the growth rate has now plateaued.

How can I change this situation? Do you have any good suggestions?

Is your audience actually on Facebook or Instagram? Understanding where your audience spends their time will greatly help target your audience. You wouldn’t go fishing in fresh water for salt water fish.

23k followers in 5 months for industrial equipment is actually impressive so the content clearly resonated early on. The plateau is normal, Facebook throttles organic reach once you hit a certain follower count to push you toward ads. Try mixing in behind the scenes factory content and employee spotlights instead of just product focused reels. People engage way more with the human side of manufacturing than spec sheets.

The plateauing is normal – you hit your existing audience. Facebook’s algorithm now prioritizes engagement over reach, so your factory content needs interaction to spread. Are people actually commenting and sharing, or just scrolling past?

Industrial companies struggle here because the content isn’t inherently shareable. You need to humanize it more – behind-the-scenes clips, employee spotlights, problem-solving stories, not just product showcases. People engage with people, not machines.

Also check if you’re posting Reels consistently. One viral week then silence kills momentum. And your 23k gain in 5 months suggests you rode a trend – sustainable growth is slower but stickier.

You probably hit the early momentum ceiling, try mixing in educational/problem-solving reels, customer stories, and behind-the-scenes content instead of just product shots to spark fresh engagement and shares.
