This isnt bullshit so please help me

    Hi all,

Ok I have an invention (mechanical coupling unit, a universal joint replaSEO cement) which my father gave it to me as he had cancer and has since died. Being broke due to the cancer treatments and no energy to get this going, so he willed it to me on the understanding that money made would be given to my mother.

So I have tried for a few years to try to get this thing out there, and using the web seemed like the only way to get it “out there”

Ive done some SEO but Im just not getting any traction and with Covid it has gone backwards.

The biggest issue I have is the product can run across a number of industries (Industrial, Farming, Auto etc) so trying to get a foot hold in each of these industries has me stumped.

Im trying to understand how this works SEOwise so I can get even a toehold so I can some money to my mother and invest the remainder back into the business to grow this.

the web site is [https://twinspringcoupling.com](https://twinspringcoupling.com) Im looking for help not SEO consulting services as I cant afford them regardless.

    Please help

    A few questions…

    Who are you selling to?

Do these people search for solutions on the internet?

Do they even know your solution is one they need?

Have you tried directly selling to these people to make sure it’s something they want?

I’ve worked in agencies as a developer for a long time, I have seen many people in your situation “I have this great product (singular) and it just won’t sell.” In my experience the problem is getting the ball rolling. Just a website isn’t going to be enough in the vast sea of the internet. You are going to have to directly reach out to potential customers.

In your case, I’d start trying to find local suppliers or distributors you can get in the door with, if that fails go directly to the business that would actually be buying your product and show them why they should buy yours instead of the ones they already use.

Unless your product is normally in a high demand / low supply situation, fighting the status quo is going to be your biggest challenge. Show why your product is better (quality, price, etc…) And how it’s worth it for them to switch.

Your website should be inline with the rest of your marketing materials but it can’t be your only piece.

Good luck, it sounds like your dad left with you quite a task.

    Really sorry to hear this.

SEO is likely not the answer. Way too niche. No search demand for a product people don’t know exist.

Spend time at tradeshows industry suppliers, industry press etc.

The “easier” solution may be to get a distributor involved and let them do the work to find retailers etc. Or License it to a partner and collect royalties etc.

I’m sure you will get a few great tips to move your site forward here, but this…

*” The biggest issue I have is the product can run across a number of industries (Industrial, Farming, Auto etc) so trying to get a foot hold in each of these industries has me stumped. “*

Seems to indicate more of a general marketing problem not necessarily tied to your website at all. Out of curiosity, when’s the last time you built a list of potential clients and spent 8 hours day on the phone?

Truly, best wishes achieving your goals

Might sound stupid, but perhaps find some YouTubers who have a decent following and work on cars and see if they’d like to try out your coupling.

I’ve been in your position. I knew no one would just “buy” my product. I had to create a specific application sell that product and make revenue from it. I’ve licensed the tech, AMD the effort never stops. I did make a YouTube video in 2006 and sold product since then. It doesn’t get easy or on auto pilot.
