Let’s have an official discussion in this thread. As an admin of multiple large Facebook communities, I can see pros/cons to letting the debate continue with limited moderation. But what are your thoughts?

Fake news can give your group a strike so it’s best to just delete anything that’s not from creditable sources

I don’t see any benefit to letting a debate about the efficacy of vaccines take place on a forum about interior design, or travel and tourism.

Immunology and virology are complex topics that get dealt with by highly-qualified industry professionals. And thanks to them, we finally have vaccines to tackle this pandemic.

There is no value, whatsoever, in giving some random Karen a platform to parrot worthless drivel that they heard on a YouTube video and cannot possibly challenge without laboratory equipment, or a detailed understanding of clinical testing.

Giving them space isn’t ‘facilitating free-thinking’.

It’s inviting someone to walk into your house and crap on the sofa.

I’m currently getting together the most used words by such miss-informed people and adding them to my moderation banned words so they can’t get started. Shut that shit down. It’s not a debate for anywhere apart from a lab or medical setting.

I don’t bother let them die. This is evolution right before our eyes

First conversation, warning. Usually the warning elicits a crazy response. Then, ban.
