  Not sure if i’m actually growing on instagram.

  Hello

  I make hip-hop/rap, I've been staying consistent with posting on Instagram for the past few months, it feels like i've grown in certain aspects but not in others.

  In the past couple of months i've gained probably 800 followers, i'm currently at 1,200. I've gotten this mostly through pushing ads, networking in person and some word of mouth through people I know irl.

  My reels do consistently poorly, they have a super high skip rate (like 70%) and they usually get around 55-70 likes. Every once in a while I'll have a reel that kinda does a bit better and maybe gets 100, but it's super uncommon. My posts usually do better, usually averaging around 100-140 likes. Posts usually get way more views too. My story likes have gone up a good amount however though.

  I was always under the impression reels were supposed to be pushed more. Even though my account has grown in following and size, it seems like some things have just stagnated.

  Anyone have any ideas as to why this is is? any help would be greatly appreciated.
