New to SEO, need books/youtube recommendations!
Posted by Temporary_6818 on January 14, 2026 at 2:41 pmI’m getting considered for a new job where I would have to learn SEO and I’ve watched Ahrefs 2hour introductory video.
I would like some additional resources, YouTubers, bloggers, books for Dummies, that would be helpful in learning SEO. What resources helped you when you started SEO?

GuestJanuary 14, 2026 at 3:21 pmI would google “entity SEO”, there are some good tutorials there. A lot of what you’re going to come across is the old style “keyword SEO”, which is almost getting irrelevant nowadays. Focus on entity SEO instead.

GuestJanuary 15, 2026 at 1:02 amif you’ve already watched the Ahrefs intro, you’re on the right track. a solid next step is combining one structured resource with ongoing updates. The Art of SEO or SEO for Dummies are good for fundamentals, then follow Google Search Central on YouTube to understand how search actually works from their side. for practical thinking, Brian Dean and a few SEO case study channels help connect theory to real pages. avoid course overload early, focus on understanding how content, intent, and technical basics fit together.
