New to Facebook ads and ecommerce – need help!

Posted by seohelper on June 5, 2021 at 12:14 pm

Hello, I am pretty new to to all of this, I created my first online shop a month ago and saved enough money for facebook ads. I watched courses and literally every youtube video there is about facebook ads. I have been running ads for like a week or two now with very poor results. I know from competitors that their business and ads are running really well, that is why I am wondering what I am doing wrong. Is it my website or is my targeting just really off? Do any of you have advice?

The website is [artwonder.net](https://artwonder.net) I am really really happy about any feedback! Thank you!

Hey man! Great to see that you took the first step of exectuing and starting the ads!
Just like you, even I have been studying fb ads for 2 months now. I think that you might be getting less results right now due to the iOS 14 update. The platform is still adjusting and retargetting has been massively affected. Just last week I spoke to two australian ecom owners and they’ve shared the exact same feedback. Have you tried doing the small tweaks like verifying your domain and setting up the 8 conversion events as suggested by all the media buying experts out there?

Without seeing your ads it’s hard to tell.

Your website has some holes in it. The story isn’t there the trust elements aren’t there.

Before running ads you need to have an understanding of your complete customer journey and all the touch points.

What is your goal of running an ad. Where is that person in their journey are they looking to purchase right away or are you just making them aware of your existence.

How often do people buy art? When do they buy art?

What kind of art do they like? How do you keep them updated when you drop new art?

iOS14 shouldn’t be effecting your strategy there are more than a few ways to not have to rely on it at all and be minimally impacted.

Also to what you wrote. What’s the buying cycle for art?

It’s going to likely take more than a few weeks to start to see results.

I think your website is good. Like, I would possibly buy from there if I was in your targeted area.

So you need to revisit the quality of your Facebook ads and targeting.

Do you have a Facebook page? Build your brand from there. If you need help DM me.

My most recent page has 30k followers in under 2 months.

You could build the brand of your store on social media. I don’t think the website or the pricing is a problem. The art seem really cool and the options are there too.
