Forums Forums White Hat SEO New Site Ranking issue

  • New Site Ranking issue

Posted by seohelper on January 30, 2021 at 11:23 pm

I have seen many SEO videos showing On page SEO, keyword Research tools, how to use them, how to get x number of visitors on new site.. Bla Bla Bla… None of them works for a new domain.

Can someone really honestly describe how to drive traffic to a new website?

I wrote an article which has a good SEO score, but it is not showing anywhere at all on Google but when I compare it with articles showing on 1st page has less SEO score then mine…

I think it is all about Domain Authority and Backlinks to your website…

I agree to an extent; however, internal factors like keywords, load speed, and ssl do play a factor too

Hi, I work in SEO and it comes down to a variety of factors (there are 200 ranking factors). It honestly does take a long time to build domain authority and acquire backlinks for your website.

Structured data markup can help certain pages (like recipes, product pages, FAQs) rank better in the rich snippets section of search results.

In general, the best approach is to make sure your site is technically optimized (minimize crawling and indexing issues) and then focus on putting out quality content focused on specific keywords. It can take years to build domain authority, but eventually ranking gets easier.

For content, I use an inexpensive software called SEO surfer to analyze SERPs and optimize my on-page SEO. (I know there are other similar software you could use as an alternative as well, that’s just the one I use).

For backlinks, one of the best strategies I have found is going on a podcast tour. If you guest on podcasts, then the show notes page will link back to your website and you are providing quality to people.

    I hope this helps!

Don’t go off of SEO “scores”. Yoast and the like give you good suggestions but there’s no way you should take their scores as gospel.

Someone has a worse SEO score, but is ranking? They probably have A- a more SEO optimized site, B- more high-authority websites linking to them, and, possibly, C- more natural, relevant content.

Google has long stopped rewarding you for writing content that hits certain specifications. They want realistic, human-focused content.

So first step- make sure you write something your potential customers will want to read.

Second step- make sure your site is fast and mobile friendly

Third, most important step- get people to link to your page.

If you have a new domain you can’t expect to start ranking quickly. Google likes big, old, trustworthy sites. You’re none of those three at this point. If you can get links from those kind of sites to point at you (via a guest post outreach campaign, or dozens of other options) then Google will start to pay attention to you.

If you have a competitive keyword you really need content. Good content and lots of it surrounding or inline with a main topic. Then time. If you do not have a competitive keyword, then it’s a matter of time.

Just because you wrote an article doesn’t mean it will show anywhere. Especially if no one looks for it.

Today you need to write a bunch of good content to build authority.

OR – have a plan to distribute your good article, social channels, an audience you’ve built up, etc.

OR – pay for some ads to gain some traction.

    What is good content?

According to the quality guidelines for the Google search engine, good content consists of four main points:

Maintain pages on the first level for users, not search engines

    Do not deceive users

Avoid scams aimed at improving search engine rankings

Think about what makes your search engine attractive site

What are the steps for creating good and attractive content that will increase your SEO?

1- Search engine spiders have become smarter than the past, so just the keyword in the article is not enough for you.

But the associated keywords should be well present in the article. This means that the article or content provided must be comprehensive and rich for the user to find in everything he is looking for.

2- As for the number of words for the article, it should not be less than 300 words and preferably more than 1000 words.

3- The information provided in your content must be real and documented so as not to deceive the visitor and harm it to seo and the ranking of your site in the search engines.

4- Use the suggested words associated with your keyword from the Google search engine.

5- Use the photos in the article, preferably 3 pictures expressing the content presented.

6- Do not forget the video in your articles, as it leaves a very good impression on users.

You are right in a way. Anyone thst tells you to bud content and do nothing else is completely wrong. There is absolutely no way for Google to rank you even if they cared without the edges that connect pages together.

At a bare minimum go out and buy advertising somewhere that has traffic. I do not advocate “white hat” laziness but if you do not know what you are doing it is best to write decent content and pay for eyes to see it. At least this way you will get some exposure.
