Need help growing my business on Instagram!
Posted by seohelper on June 3, 2021 at 6:21 amI made an Instagram account for my business and my target audience is strictly director-level American job seekers. Now the thing is, I don’t know how to find my target audience there and connect with them. It’s been so hard finding leads there. Most of my target audience doesn’t even exist there. I’m not sure how to leverage that Instagram account to grow my business.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 6:46 amTry LinkedIn first. Better luck with them it seems for this particular audience.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 7:10 amNot certainly, but good quality “Director-Level” leads on IG seem indeed not quite realistic. The best you can do, probably, is trying your luck on LinkedIn.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 9:02 amAre you creating content that director-level job seekers would consume? If not, start with that. The truth is that EVERYONE uses instagram. The notion that CEO’s are too busy building the business to be on social media is quite stupid, I think.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 9:04 amYou have to be where your audience is, not the other way around.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 1:31 pmOne of the basic principles of marketing is knowing which platforms to use to connect with your audience. If the people you are trying to reach aren’t on Instagram, don’t use Instagram.
Linkedin and Facebook are good places. Twitter might be. That’s something you could research.
Find out where your clients hang out and focus on those places.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 4:46 pmWhat kind of content are you pushing out on IG for them?
I’m not in the US (UK) but I’m your target. I’m not necessarily looking for work related stuff on IG, I’m posting and engage in more lifestyle and travel content

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 8:07 pmSo, I did the digital for a staffing/recruiter last year and my advice is to make sure you use Facebook Ads Manager for everything. Recruiting is a Special Category on there and if you are posting about employment without checking the box, they’ll cut your ad acct.
Create a personality profile and work their interests.

GuestJune 3, 2021 at 11:13 pmThe quickest way is to use hashtags. The people you are looking for search for content on Instagram using hashtags. There are probably hundreds of job related hashtags on Instagram. For example #job #remotejobsdaily #getajob #dayjob e.t.c. Then for the director-level you can try hashtags like #management #projectmanagement #businessmanagement #peoplemanagement e.t.c. Then make sure that the content you create is aligned to the hashtag.
How much you get from hashtags depends on the size of your page. So make sure you actively grow your page so that the followers on your page can interact with your posts on a way that will see you hitting the explore page from time to time. Hitting the explore page will boost your following and this will create a snowball effect, making your page grow even more.
