  • Need Advice: How to Grow web traffic

    Website age: 1 year
    Domain authority: 20
    Internal linking: done
    Site structure: solid

Right now I am getting around 70 to 99 clicks per month.
The goal is to reach 1,000 clicks per month.

I already have blogs, FAQs, and location and city based pages. All pages are indexed.
Total pages are 70+, and there are no thin pages.

At this point, what is the most realistic path to 1,000 clicks a month?
What am I missing or underestimating in terms of SEO, content, or authority building?

I would really appreciate hearing from the community, especially from people who have actually made this jump and can share what worked for them.

That’s great but what are you doing to reach out to the people instead of waiting for them to come to you?

SEO = position in SERP = Discovery
Clicks = on page optimization = Conversion

The above 👆 are two completely different aspects of doing business online.

The amount of traffic you get is a result of the amount of people searching for something — something you DON’T control.

You want to control traffic? Pay for ads.

Otherwise you can’t control or “grow” traffic. You can only capture the attention of a portion of whomever is searching for what is available.

I know it sounds like I’m splitting hairs. But it’s something that almost everyone confounds.

Regarding conversion, 1k clicks on the front end means nothing. You have to follow the whole conversion path.

If I’m a swimming pool contractor and I convert one lead into a sale per month. There’s a good chance I won’t be able to fulfill on delivering. It’s actually too much prosperity. Building 12 pools a year is a LOT of work.

So even conversion metrics have to be applied to WHAT you’re selling in each and every specific business. Not the amount of people searching.

But I digress… you’re in an SEO sub. All that you can strive for is position on page. That’s all SEO is. Everything else is outside of SEO.

    Backlinks? Community mentions? Regular blogs?

70+ pages and DA 20 is fine, but that setup usually caps early.

    Key actions:
    • Build intent pages like comparisons, alternatives, and problem aware topics
    • Make each page rank for many long tail keywords, not just one
    • Use internal links to push authority to 2-3 priority pages
    • Aim for a few strong winners, not more volume

That is the most realistic path to 1,000 clicks. Keep it focused.

This is great. To add on to this send emails to your email list of past customers if you have any. Regularly update them on specials, best tips for your niche. Run promotions in neighborhoods you want to be in to get them to your site. You want to bring value to users to use your site. Install Microsoft Clarity to make sure visitors are using your site as intended. A valuable metric for SEO is whether you are fulfilling the searchers intent, or are people coming back to results to find someone else? Solve for that and Google may increase your position, but more importantly you will stay in business long enough to see those rankings improve.
