NEED ADVICE FOR CONTENT CREATION
Posted by LORD_SHADOW_001 on October 21, 2025 at 4:58 pmHey guys i just want to ask for some opinion on what kind of content to make on instagram and youtube specially. I hv tried a lot of variety like gym motivation, self talk motivation and boring vlogs. I am a 20 yr old guy who goes to university. I am confident with my body and looks, but i fumble and feel awkward in front of a camera. Any niche or content suggestions, and plz dont suggest any cringey ones or embarrasing one. Thank you!

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 5:57 pmJust talk about what you like and enjoy.
Become an “expert” in whatever it is, its hard to grow far in Fitness unless you’re naturally above average in attractiveness or hop on PEDS, motivation videos will struggle because you’re only 20 (no life experience yet); you haven’t actually lived life yet so there’s not much advice you can give aside from going to school.
If you struggle being on camera, look into voice content and commentate over videos. The best content to make will be things you enjoy doing to begin with, as you get older, your interest will change over time.
Make content about things you like so you get the “reps” of actually creating content and in turn you’ll be a better content creator and then you can pivot to whatever feild you want as you get older.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 6:25 pmInject your personality and maybe even some real life stories into your content if you feel comfortable. The worst creators are the ones who copy everyone else and offer nothing unique. You’ll want to build a community that feels connected to you as a person, not just someone posting stuff

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 7:07 pmWhy do you want to create content? Go from there. You’re asking us what content to do, but that’s the part you should know.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 10:26 pmMy only advice is to be authentic and make your own path. Do what you love, keep grinding and doing it over and over and over. Making money as a content creator is like anything else, really hard. The top 1% make it look easy, they all spent a lot of time honing in on what works. Except for Dhar Mann who gamed the system somehow.

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 1:42 amDon’t make content for the sake of making content.
If you have no passion to share or story to tell, why would you want to just generate more garbage “content” for people to scroll past?

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 2:13 amHormozi posted a ton of tweets and then whatever got the most traction he made into long form content. I saw some other dude say the same about TikTok the other day. And remember everyone sucked the first time they did anything. No one is watching you now anyway, so go make 100 videos or podcasts etc. and by the time you hit your groove you might have an audience.

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 3:40 amI find it really endearing when I see vlogs/posts of guys doing their hobbies, things they enjoy, cooking meals they like, etc. It gives you a cool insight into REAL people online instead of the copy/paste influencers I typically see 🙂

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 1:59 pmStart talking to the camera when your not even filming as if a normal conversation. Actually like its actually a face and not a camera . My biggest tip would be yiu will start to get comfortable quickly because you will be so pissed off at the editing taking so long you will automatically up your game talking to tbe better to camera once u realise you can cut down half the time if yiu get it right within a take or to it will start to become natural.

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 2:58 pmIf you’re already confident in how you look but feel awkward on camera, don’t pick a niche where you have to “perform.” That’s why gym motivation / self-talk probably feels forced. Go for low-cringe, high-signal formats, like: “Explaining something I just learned today at uni” but super practical, not academic. “Breaking down viral mistakes people make in x (gym, dating, studying, money)” TikTok/IG Reels POV style, where you don’t even fully show your face, just voice + scenario
You’ll sound more natural when the focus is not fully on you, but on the idea you’re breaking down.
Start by not talking to the camera, talk through something. Camera confidence grows after action, not before

GuestOctober 23, 2025 at 12:16 amMy therapist told me: you will be judged regardless. This made it easier to take a video. Its a mindset change that will help your creativity and confidence – this shows in videos and pics. Good luck! 💯
