My site’s traffic tanked – Need help or advice to recover.
I run a cleaning business, and we’ve built a blog alongside the main site, around 100 articles so far, mostly product reviews like “5 Best X for Y.”
Up until recently, things were going really well. Our posts would rank within hours, often in top 1–5 positions, outranking big players, despite our site only being DA 3.
Traffic was growing fast, 300–500 clicks per day, and roughly the same through our Amazon affiliate links, with an 8–9% conversion rate. At our peak (around 600 clicks/day), we were earning about £600+ per week through Amazon.
Then, from 29th August, everything crashed. Rankings tanked almost overnight.
To be transparent, we were using a lot of AI-written content, all following a similar format. In hindsight, it probably looked a bit scaled or spammy, but it was working incredibly well… until it wasn’t.
I’m guessing this could be related to the latest Google spam update that rolled out around that time, but I’d really appreciate insight from anyone who’s dealt with something similar or better yet, someone who knows how to recover from it.
If someone can help me get my rankings back on track, I’d be happy to chat about a very generous commission setup.
Any advice, experience, or guidance would mean a lot. Thanks.
