moz da
Posted by seohelper on March 20, 2021 at 11:09 pmI recently got some backlinks from big publications with DA’s that are over 75. However, my DA has not gone up one bit.
How long does Moz take to update DA’s? I’m only a measly 3 after 16 months of blogging (I just recently starting building backlinks).
I know they say DA’s don’t matter, and I have seen an increase in my rankings since I got the backlink, but having the low DA does make it harder to get other bloggers to collab with me.

GuestMarch 20, 2021 at 11:40 pmDA is dumb, I’d think more about DR (Ahrefs) to track domain strength. I’ve gotten one client dozens of good DA good traffic backlinks over the course of several months and it barely added 1 or 2 to their DA (even though they started at 17).

GuestMarch 20, 2021 at 11:43 pmUse good backlinks that you already got as prrof of confidence from other publications. For now, DA will be low but you should not really focus on it as much as quality of the acquired backlinks.

GuestMarch 21, 2021 at 12:44 amDid you check if the backlinks are NoFollow? If they are then you really won’t get any link equity passed from the high DAs of those publications.

GuestMarch 21, 2021 at 2:17 amDA is not a ranking factor. I see lots of pbn sites increase its DA to 80+ but they don’t have any organic traffic or any ranking keywords.
Some Tips for building backlinks:
1. Always choose high traffic sites
2. Choose niche sites
3. Always check backlink profile of the domain
4. Choose branded anchor text.Note: 1 quality backlink is more valuable than 50 low quality backlinks.

GuestMarch 21, 2021 at 4:45 amI don’t think the DA’s matter in this case. If you’re confident that you have strong backlinks, and your rankings have gone up, the DA doesn’t matter. What matters is the quality of your backlinks, and to answer your question, it does take some time to get your DA rankings up.

GuestMarch 21, 2021 at 6:25 amDA isn’t the only qualifying factor. I think it can be important; however, there is a variety of factors. As far as how long it will take there is no say. Google may recognize the link but ahrefs might not so you never know if the measurements are correct

GuestMarch 21, 2021 at 6:50 amGoogle cleared that DA is not a ranking factor but I would say it is because the activities which are of course ranking factor helps increase DA. Do Backlinks are not a ranking factor (and backlinks contribute in Domain Authority). But nowadays people using these redirecting and pbn sites to increase DA which is not at all helpful. Having technical and on-page seo correct also a ranking factor and it also contribute in DA.
So, I think having good DA means you are fulfilling almost all the things which are the ranking factors.

GuestMarch 21, 2021 at 10:12 amThey say: “DA is not important, all is important that you get GOOD QUALITY LINKS”
How do you know they are GOOD? How do you measure this? By an inner sense of some kind?
DA is a tool, more or less similar to Ahrefs DR, or what once was Pagerank of Google. But PR was internal to Google, DA is not. Google does not look at DA when ranking pages. On the contrary, MOZ is trying to look at well-ranked websites when they build their DA.
